There are four elements of the Basic Safety Training course - incl. Manila STCW 2010 amendments. STCW 2010 requires all seafarers to receive basic safety training in accordance with section A-VI/1 of the STCW Code. This 1-day Basic Training Revalidation course meets the minimum standard of competence for Basic Training provided that the individual has at least 1 year of sea service in the last 5 years and has been previously certified per Section VI/1of the STCW Code; Any applicant who has successfully completed the Basic Training Refresher (CAMACE-68) course will staisfy the continued competency requirements for STCW Basic Training in STCW, as amended 2010, Basic Training in Section A-VI/1, 46 CFR 11.302(e) and 46 CFR 12.602(e), AND, all of the tasks from the National Assessment Guidelines found in NVIC 08-14.
