The Radiologic Technology Program at Blinn College prepares qualified individuals for careers as an entry-level radiologic technologist. This nationally accredited program offers extensive knowledge of patient care and safety, anatomy and physiology, image production, equipment operation, radiation protection, and radiographic procedures. The Radiologic Technology program requires a full-time commitment. This 24-month program starts in June of each year and includes two academic years and two summer sessions. The required biology and mathematics courses must be completed within five years of program admission.

CBC offers an eight-quarter Associate in Applied Science degree in Radiologic Technology. The program consists of in-class instruction, labs where students practice positioning and radiographic technique skills and up to 1,800 hours of hands-on training in local healthcare facilities. Admission to the Radiologic Technology program is competitive. Selection is determined by a cumulative point system based on the high school prerequisite courses and grades, college courses, and grades. The best qualified candidates are invited to interview. Interviews are limited to approximately double program capacity. The Radiologic Technology Program at Marion Technical College is programmatically accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), www.jrcert.org.
